On the 17th October Danny Leonard, who served at 45 commando Royal Marines for 6 years including a tour of Afghan, a good friend of Tim is taking on the impressive journey across the UK from John O’Groats to Lands End Penzance on foot. Aiming to complete 40 marathons over 45 days whether it be running, hiking or walking Danny will be covering the three peaks, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden… the task at hand (or should I say foot) is not only inspiring but an astonishing test of strength, mental agility and determination.
With charities unable to host events to raise funds to allow them to deliver services, Danny, a friend of Tim’s for many years and out with him on the evening he passed away, is not only taking this on as a personal challenge but to raise awareness and crucial funds for this charity very close to his heart, the Tim Cogley Cardiac Screening Foundation.
With thanks to the businesses and individuals all doing their bit to support Danny on his journey sponsoring accommodation, health screenings, clothing and equipment, press, right through to branded support vehicles (which we would love for you to snap if you see whilst on route). We are all so thankful for all the support so far but need your help with much more to help us get to our target of £10k.
All this support puts the event in a great position to get the event started but we ask for you to join us in sharing the event when and where you can, following the hashtag #JOGtoLE to join us en route and most importantly donate whatever you can.
If you are interested in supporting or sponsoring any aspects of the journey, joining in any of the hikes up the 3 peaks or want to offer support in any way… please get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you like to donate you can do so by clicking here.
Thank you to all the businesses involved so far:
